River, Star and Jo grew up together in the circus. If you enjoy cute funny sci-fi than you will enjoy this author. Should have listened to the other reviews. I wanted to see how this series may tie into some of the other ones S.E. That way I can skip all the stupid stuff and stick to the plot. I would like to know more of the story, but never will order an audio of these books again. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment? Like I said, they could have hired Ben Stein doing his monotone voice. Very bad! There was no appropriate emotion in her voice. What didn’t you like about Samantha Cook’s performance? The story had some promise, but was ruined by the monotone, non emotional, narration and the BDSM ridiculousness. Who knew all the way across the galaxy, aliens used butt plugs, nipple clamps, and floggers? Oh my goodness! I was yelling about how stupid that was. I really like a lot of her books, but this one was too much. Smith have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you? This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
